Boo!

It's fall time, and we are doing some fall cleaning around the place. Getting ready for winter, and lining up some new projects for the new year. This past summer has been awsome. Just this last summer we did the "Project Camaro with the Kyosho chassis, Project Dodge Ram, High-Lift Toyota Hilux, and the recent TLT-1 X-Trail concept truck.
So while we tidy up, and move some stuff around this fall you can still come by the site and stay up to speed on the "New Release" section along with seeing who will win "Truck on the Month" We will be picking a winner for Truck of the Year later this year. Don't forget to submit your R/C ride to enter.
Thank you for all your support, I look forward to showing you more cool and creative projects and more in the coming months.

Happy Halloween!!!

Project "TLT X-Trail" hits the road....

Photobucket
-Check out more photo's here!

-The family headed out to Falcon Lake Mb, just a few short minutes outside Ontario Canada. Checking out the local camping seine, and wonderful surroundings.
Got some nice shot's of the "TLT X-Trail" out on the beach soaking up the sand and zipping along the shore line, and traveling down the winding path ways in the Provincial Park. Had a great time. The folks and fellow camper's in Falcon Beach Campground were great.
Can't wait to head back next year.

The newly deigned R/C Modz Scale TLT-1 goes for a test drive.

Photobucket
- R/C Modz Full Throttle takes the newly modified TLT-1 Scalier out for a beating in the Manitoba bush. Sporting the ever popular 80's style Chevrolet body, the truck went through whatever mother nature left in it's path. Like a true Chevy pick up decked out with off road tires like these ones, it made it easy for the truck to concur rocks, sticks and stones. A sand pit, even harsh gravel roads with 3 inch craters, deep mud trenches, and grassy fields.
----------------------------------
"I have seen lot's of other Tamiya TLT-1 scale trucks. Everyone does things there own way, and a little bit different. I build my stuff with originality and customization that other's haven't seen before. In the whole true scale side of things, the truck is unstoppable and fun to drive. Just when you think it got stuck, it managed to get out. This is my scale TLT-1 and I like it."

Tamiya TLT-1 get's a make over

Photobucket
The Tamiya TLT-1 get's a make over, well.... a scratch built chassis and a diff rebuild. Been a while since I had them apart, and I think they could use some cleaning and new grease. The new frame is built to follow similar stance to the Axial SCX-10 scale crawler. This picture was taken in the early (rough) stages of design. I know you recognize the wheels and tires, don't worry. The Tamiya Hilux has a different set of wheels and tires now, more like it's big brother the Bruiser. There will be better pictures to follow as I wrap up this project. Oh, and for those of you who are wondering.... I have put BACK the scale 80's style Chevrolet body. Since you guys missed it so much. I figured I'd give the body some TLC too, and it's in the early stages of being re-painted. ( I do like my Chevy body)

Later.

R/C Modz Full Throttle Editor's - 1968 Chevy Camaro

Photobucket

-The 1968 Chevrolet Camaro (in above picture on left) is the newest addition to the R/C Modz Full Throttle Projects Vault. Along side the Volkswagen Beetle which belongs to my wife. Her car is the Tamiya FF-02, but most of you would know it as the M-Chassis similar to the Mini Cooper by Tamiya. Front wheel, 2 wheel drive. This chassis just has a longer center adapter for the chassis to make it 1/10th scale. Front wheel drive is a blast to drive. The Camaro is from the mid to late 90's. It's a Kyosho Mantis Series two wheel drive electric 1/10th scale touring car.

Project Tamiya Toyota Hilux (High-Lift) is finished, well.... at least for this month. Check out next month, where we install a full LED Light system. No, not that Tamiya Multi-Function unit. We blew our cash on the truck, we need to scale back a tiny bit. But, never the less.... we can get something hooked up.
